This is a little painting of my original character Silas. I had a lot of fun playing with the lighting and his expression. :)

Here's a story blurb for anyone interested in his character:

He had meant to summon a guardian—a protector to shield his city, to shield her—from the looming terror threatening to take all he loved from him. But in reaching for power through dark magic, he lost everything he had sworn to protect. The ritual turned on him, the unruly magic searing through his veins, corrupting his blood. His bones snapped, and his fingers became unrecognizable beneath the black claws that had taken their place. He was reshaped by the curse, twisted into a creature the people came to fear. Now, exiled from the life he once held dear, he wanders the world in search of redemption. If he can break the curse of his lycanthropy—if he can become a man once more—perhaps she will see him again, not as the beast he became, but as the man who loved her still.
